three decades world stages
It all began with an idea - adapting Pedro Almodóvar's Oscar-winning film All About My Mother for the stage - which he developed from scratch into an award-winning 2007 world premiere at London's Old Vic. The first English-language adaptation of any Almodóvar work, it has since been produced in over 20 countries worldwide.
In a 15-year partnership with Australian impresario Mike Walsh AM OBE, Daniel has produced Australian transfers of Holding the Man, Songs for Nobodies in the West End and Exit the King on Broadway, alongside the Olivier Award-winning Sweeney Todd, the Palladium revival of A Chorus Line, Emma Rice's The Umbrellas of Cherbourg and together they have championed new original work, with world premieres of Stiles and Drewe's Soho Cinders, Matthew Brind and Rachel Wagstaff's epic WWII musical Only the Brave and Amity Dry's The (M)other Life.
A committed champion of new work and global IP licensing, he continues to develop original musicals and tour internationally, providing freelance consultancy and management expertise.
