Prior to embarking on a career as an independent producer, Daniel Sparrow worked with one of the West End's most experienced and respected theatrical general managers, Andrew Treagus.   Working with Andrew Treagus for 8.5 years, Daniel learnt from the best on various aspects of general management, including budgeting, contracting, deal negotiations, scheduling and planning, marketing, advertising, legal and other aspects of overseeing theatrical productions in the West End, on tour, as well as an insight into global international production roll out.

 

Daniel Sparrow Productions offers full producer and administrative services including but not limited to long term strategy and day to day running including providing liason management with a production's legal, insurance, accounts, reporting, payroll, venues, staff, crew and production management providers.

 

Investment Prospectus Compilation and Design

 

Design and compilation of Investment Prospectus Documents highlighting Budget summaries, Recoupment Forecasts and Production information for prospective investors.   

 

Budgeting

 

Pre Production and Weekly Running budgeting, Profit and Loss Forecast Analysis, Total Season Profit Forecast Analysis incorporating Theatre Seaters, Cash Flow Scheduling, Travel Budgeting and Union Bonds and Advances budgeting.

 

Rights Acquistions and Negotiations

 

Investigative Research, Rights Applications and Proposals, and upon acquistion, negotiation of terms and licenses.   Daniel Sparrow Productions acquired the rights to Almodovar's 'All About My Mother' in 2005, representing the first time in over 20 years that Almodovar had allowed a stage production of one of his films. 

 

Licensing

 

Licensing of plays and musicals internationally.  Daniel Sparrow Productions oversees the international licensing of 'All About My Mother', with over 22 different productions in 18 different languages globally.

 

Investor Reporting and Investor Relations

 

Compilation, design and electronic distribution of comprehensive regular Investor Updates with more detail than most producers typically provide to investors. Investor relations events and personalised investor relationship management.

 

Cast and Creative Team Contracting

 

Deal negotiation and contracting for full Creative Team and Cast for the West End and Regional Touring.

 

 

Marketing, Advertising, Promotions and Publicity

 

Full supervision, planning and direction of marketing, advertising, promotions and publicity campaigns in liaison with a Production's appointed Marketing, Advertising, Promotions and Press firms, from launch to close.

 

Casting

 

Liason with West End Casting Directors, including assistance with casting administration.  Daniel Sparrow Productions have also provided full casting services including audition notice distribution, advertising, venue and equipment hire to contracting.

 

Travel

 

Visa planning for international artists, Hotel and apartment accommodations, air and ground transport coordination within the UK and internationally.

 

Sponsorship

 

Proposal submissions for principal (naming) and minor sponsors (e.g. hotel, wine, beer, vehicles).

 

Ticketing

 

Inspection and monitoring of ticket sales reports for single productions, or multiple productions internationally.  Assistance with coordination and planning of group launch and subsequent sales opportuniites.

 

Merchandise

 

Overseeing of programme and merchandising in collaboration with merchandising and design agencies, collaborating on design, printing, manufacturing and sales.
